As a Therapist
Having been a clinical social worker for more than 30 years, I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Taking a positive, collaborative approach, I provide a safe, nurturing environment in which people can heal old wounds and patterns. As a result, they not only develop a stronger sense of self and gain valuable insights, but they also feel more empowered to take charge of their lives and make healthier, thoughtful decisions.
While living in Boston for many years, I designed, owned, and directed Slimworks®, a comprehensive program from a non-diet, mindful eating approach. Through teaching the principles and practices of mindful eating and living a balanced lifestyle, I have helped thousands of people break free from dieting, make peace with food, transform their relationships with their bodies and live happy, fulfilling lives. Now in Atlanta I continue to offer my knowledge, expertise, and support to individuals and groups through my mindful eating trainings.
With my experience in the disordered eating field, I also see clients who have had or are contemplating bariatric surgery. With my guidance and compassion, they learn to manage and navigate through all the new physical, emotional, and overall life changes that result from their surgeries. For those who see me before surgery, I help them to feel more prepared for the changes that lie ahead.
